Beschrijving

Situated on the western edge of the Saint-Émilion appellation, adjacent to the esteemed Pomerol region, Château La Dominique has long been recognized for its exceptional terroir and commitment to quality. The 2019 vintage exemplifies the estate's dedication to excellence, showcasing a blend of 81% Merlot, 16% Cabernet Franc, and 3% Cabernet Sauvignon.

The vineyard spans 29 hectares, with an average vine age of 35 years, planted on soils combining brown clay and sandy layers over clay. This unique terroir imparts a distinctive character to the wine, balancing the richness of Saint-Émilion with the finesse of Pomerol.

After manual harvesting, the grapes undergo fermentation in thermoregulated truncated-conical vats, followed by 16 months of aging—60% in new French oak barrels and 40% in barrels from previous vintages. This meticulous process results in a wine that is both approachable and capable of aging gracefully.

Over Château La Dominique
